Uncertainty Estimation in Fluid Flow Metrology and Calibration on 21st December 2024
On 21st December 2024, IQAS successfully conducted a specialized training program on “Uncertainty Estimation in Fluid Flow Metrology and Calibration – Theory and Hands-On Practice Using Excel for Calculations (Water Flow).”This program was meticulously designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of uncertainty estimation in fluid flow metrology, combined with practical skills to perform precise calculations using Excel.

Faculty Expert: Dr. Shiv Kumar Jaiswal
Chief Scientist and Head of the Fluid Flow Metrology Section at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory. With extensive expertise, Dr. Jaiswal has contributed significantly to the development and enhancement of standards for gas flow, water flow, low liquid flow, and water meter calibration and testing.

Program Highlights:
-
In-depth exploration of uncertainty estimation in water flow metrology and calibration.
-
Hands-on training in applying statistical methods for uncertainty calculations using Excel.
-
Key topics covered include measurement errors, uncertainty propagation, and comprehensive uncertainty analysis for accurate flow calibration.
This program was an invaluable opportunity for participants to enhance their knowledge and practical expertise in fluid flow metrology, paving the way for improved accuracy in measurement and calibration processes.
