Job Summary:

IQAS is seeking an Accreditation Officer/Manager to manage accreditation activities, with a focus on standards such as ISI/IEC 17025 and ISI 15189. The role will involve working closely with labs to ensure compliance, improving quality systems and handling documentation related to the accreditation process. This is an opportunity to contribute to enhancing the credibility and reliability of laboratory systems through accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle accreditation-related tasks in accordance with ISI/IEC 17025 and ISI 15189 standards.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards in laboratories by maintaining proper documentation.

• Collaborate with lab staff to ensure proper implementation of measurement processes and science.

• Conduct internal audits, including those under the ISO 17025/15189 standards (if trained).

• Assist in training and mentoring laboratory personnel on accreditation procedures.

• Liaise with accreditation bodies for assessments and maintain records of accreditation documentation.

• Identify and address non-conformance in labs to ensure standards are met.

• Review laboratory processes to ensure continual improvement of testing and calibration activities.

 

Qualifications:

• Graduate/Postgraduate/B.Tech with at least two years of experience in calibration, testing, or medical testing labs.
  OR
  Diploma holders with three years of relevant experience.

• Prior experience in the quality department of a lab is preferred.

• Knowledge of ISI/IEC 17025 and ISI 15189 standards and accreditation processes.

• Basic understanding of measurement processes and calibration/testing methodologies.

• Competency in managing documentation processes related to accreditation activities.

• Good communication skills in both written and spoken English.

• Candidates with training in ISO 17025/15189 internal audit processes will be given preference.

• Fresh candidates with less experience may be considered for probationary roles.
