ISO 15189:2012/2022 is the international standard specifying quality management systems for medical laboratories to ensure quality and competence of services rendered. It is based on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ISO 9001:2015 but in the medical field. It thus specifies the requirements of competence and quality with respect to a specific types of testing performed by medical testing laboratories.
